Meet Joey
A Mental Health Clinician with Into Freedom Counseling
Joey Lackey, Master Level Intern |
We, as humans, have an incredible potential for growth, but we often find life difficult; we feel stuck, alone, and uncertain. I believe that when we work through the hard things, we can find healing.
I strive to create counseling relationships based on safety, trust, and hope, where people are accepted and challenged to grow in new and meaningful ways. I believe counseling is an opportunity to work through pain and suffering, develop resiliency which can be carried forward into life, and experience healing, freedom, purpose, and self-acceptance. I am a Master Level Intern, currently completing my master’s degree in clinical counseling at Colorado Christian University, and I remain under supervision until I complete the licensure process. I work with people of all ages, and have a particular focus on areas such as trauma, spirituality, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relational issues. I utilize primarily a Person-Centered Therapy approach, but integrate other theories and techniques such as Existential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and AEDP, a trauma-informed, emotionally-focused, and attachment-based technique. I would love to help you find healing! |
