Meet David A Mental Health Clinician with Into Freedom Counseling
David is a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing-Trained (EMDR-T) counselor in the State of Colorado. David holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Walden University and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice degree from Colorado Technical University. David specializes in working with individuals with simple and complex trauma, addiction issues, military and family life issues, anxiety and depressive disorders. David utilizes treatment modalities to include EMDR, CBT, SFBT, DBT, MI, and Existential theory, to meet the individual needs of his clients.
David is a Disabled Combat Veteran of the Iraq War and served in the U.S. Army from 1999 to 2008. David has a passion for working with Veterans, Active-Duty military members, and their families.
David was born and raised in the Tumwater, WA and moved to Colorado from Germany in 2005. He is an Avid Fly Fisherman, and you can often find him on the weekends on a river somewhere in Colorado. Lastly, David enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
